Our Approach

Safe Drinking Water, Community Health, and Sanitation

RBA is committed to improving access to safe drinking water, healthcare, and sanitation in rural communities

Safe Water Access

In 2001, a tragic incident involving the drowning of a 9-year-old girl while fetching water exposed deep issues around water safety, gender roles, and community vulnerability. This event reshaped RBA’s commitment to safe water, leading to initiatives such as constructing community ring-wells, water reservoir tanks, and spring spot development—while addressing unsafe burial practices near water sources.

Primary Healthcare

RBA organizes women’s and children’s health camps, supports prenatal and postnatal care, and trains community healthcare cadres. It partners with CIHSR, the State and District Medical Departments, Vitamin Angels, and World Vision to ensure essential services reach underserved populations.

Health Awareness

We conduct awareness campaigns about healthcare schemes, routine immunization, maternal and child health, and other vital public health topics to empower communities with accurate information.

COVID-19 Response

During the pandemic, RBA managed quarantine centers, distributed essentials, conducted vaccination camps and awareness sessions, and provided counseling with support from the Azim Premji Foundation (APF).

Sanitation Improvements

RBA has implemented low-cost latrines to end open defecation and collaborates with the State PHED department under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) to promote water testing, form WATSAN committees, and improve village-level sanitation infrastructure.
