Our Approach

Sustainable Market-Based Livelihoods

RBA addresses the challenges of limited livelihood opportunities, lack of access to credit, and the impacts of climate change by promoting sustainable and green livelihood options for women and youth.

Skills & Opportunities

Providing skills training and business opportunities based on local natural resources with market potential.

Innovative Techniques

Introducing new techniques like Bokashi pig rearing to increase income, boost production, and save energy and time while promoting the use of organic fertilizer. Bokashi involves fermenting any organic matter for feeds or fertilizers using an Indigenous Micro Organism (IMO) agent.

Sustainable Agriculture

Sustainability refers to responsible use of land, water, and the environment. We promote SALT (Sloping Agricultural Land Technology) farming for long-term sustainability, diversified income, and carbon sequestration.

Integrated Farming

We support Integrated Vegetable Farming (IVF), combining livestock and vegetable farming for resource efficiency and income growth. Animal waste is transformed into organic manure using Bokashi to enrich soil fertility. Crops are used for consumption, sale, and as livestock feed in a sustainable cycle.

Market Access

In collaboration with NABARD, we constructed rural market sheds in New Jalukie and Samziuram to help women and farmers access larger markets. These hubs serve over 60 villages. As of 2024, the New Jalukie market has transitioned from weekly to a daily market, officially inaugurated by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jalukie.
